Planning Your Future Talent Needs - Part 2

Last week we explored the importance of planning your future talent needs as a retailer. Now, let's dive into how data and personalized training can take your talent strategy to the next level! 

The foundation of a successful talent plan lies in DATA. By analyzing historic churn rates by job function, you can create a model that forecasts your talent needs over a rolling 3-year period. This helps you stay ahead of the curve and ensures you have the right people in the right roles at the right time.

But data doesn't stop there. To personalize training plans for each team member, your HR processes should record the skills needed for each learning path and track individual progress. This is where a Human Resources Information System really shines! 

To get a head start, have your interviewers assess the skills of new recruits based on their interview performance and previous work experience. Then, regularly update these assessments as team members complete training and acquire new skills.
